A passionate creator blending paint, words, and imagination for over 25 years.
Cindy Applehans varied background has contributed to her distinct style. She obtained her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, receiving honors and Outstanding Achievement in the School of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Training she received at the Institute of Art as well as in Fashion and illustration have left their mark in her work as well, combining a love of design, illustration, and fashion.
These are skills she passed onto the thousands of students she has taught over her 20 year career as an art teacher in the public schools. Most recently sharing this love of art and inspiring creativity drives her to teach her paint and sip experiences.
Cindy has always enjoyed teaching using art and story telling to help her students and bow her own children learn through creativity and critical thinking. She is writing, illustrating and publishing these stories. Her first children's book is Serafina's Flight: A Fairy's Tale and the Italian version, Il volo di Serafina: Racconto di una fata. Both are carried in bookstores worldwide. A sequel is due out in 2026.
